OUR STORY

TO INSPIRE, OR BE INSPIRED? THIS IS ART IS A COLLABORATIVE MEDIA HOUSE BORN FROM A LOVE OF STORYTELLING, WHERE CREATIVITY MEETS CONNECTION. ROOTED IN THE RHYTHM OF THE OCEAN AND THE GRACE OF SPORT, WE CRAFT CONTENT THAT STIRS EMOTION AND SPARKS IMAGINATION. THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS, WE CELEBRATE THE BEAUTY OF LIFE’S FLEETING MOMENTS, TRANSFORMING THEM INTO SOMETHING TIMELESS. THIS IS ART IS ABOUT CREATING AND EXPERIENCING THOSE MOMENTS THAT MAKE US FEEL — THE PROFOUND AND THE SIMPLE, THE INFINITE AND THE UNFORGETTABLE. WHETHER YOU’RE HERE TO INSPIRE OR BE INSPIRED, ART BRINGS US TOGETHER, WEAVING OUR STORIES INTO ONE.

Art isn’t just something we create – it’s something we live. It’s in the way we move, the way we see, the way we connect. This is Art was born from a simple idea: to give artists, storytellers, and visionaries a space to create, collaborate, and share their work with the world.

Rooted in the elements – the ocean, sport, movement and nature – we believe in capturing raw, unfiltered moments and transforming them into something timeless, emotive and real. Whether through photography, film, digital design or creative projects, we exist to honour the fleeting beauty of life and the stories that shape us.

WHY WE EXIST

Because art matters. Because stories matter. Because in a world that moves fast, we believe in the power of slowing down to capture the moments that truly mean something.

Whether you’re an artist looking for a home for your work, a brand seeking authentic storytelling, or someone searching for a piece that speaks to you – welcome. This is where art meets purpose, where creativity finds its voice and where inspiration is always within reach.

BEHIND THE SOUL

This is Art wasn’t built overnight. It wasn’t even built with a business plan. It started with a feeling – an instinct to capture fleeting moments before they disappeared, to give artists and storytellers a space to share their work without compromise.

Peri, the founder of This is Art, describes it as less of a business and more of a movement. A reaction to a world that moves too fast, that often overlooks the quiet beauty of simple, unscripted moments.

"I think I always knew I’d create something like this – it was just a matter of when. I’ve spent my life chasing moments that feel bigger than me, whether that’s in the ocean, on a board, behind the lens or through a story. I wanted to build a space where art isn’t just seen, but felt. Where people can connect through creativity, without all the noise of trends and algorithms."

That’s what This is Art is – a space where creativity finds its voice, where raw, emotional storytelling takes centre stage, and where artists can exist on their own terms.

"Photography and film have always been my way of holding onto time. There’s something sacred about preserving a moment, whether it’s the perfect wave, a look exchanged or the way light moves across our world. I wanted to build something that honours that. That makes people stop and feel something real."

It hasn’t always been easy. Like any creative pursuit, there were doubts, setbacks, and moments of questioning whether the world really needed another platform.

"The hardest part? Pushing past the fear of putting myself out there. But I kept coming back to the same thought – what if there are artists out there feeling the same way? What if they’re holding back because they don’t know where to start, or because they think no one is paying attention? That’s why I kept going. Because art deserves to be seen, and artists deserve a place to share it."

More than a platform, more than a business, This is Art is a collective – a home for the creatives, the storytellers, the ones who see the world a little differently. A place where art is not just made, but shared, valued, and experienced.

"Success for This is Art isn’t measured in numbers. It’s in the connections. It’s when someone reaches out and says a piece spoke to them, or when an artist gets the recognition they deserve. It’s when a story makes someone stop and really feel something. That’s what matters."

This is art, in its purest form – unfiltered, emotional and unapologetically human.

This is Art. WHERE BEAUTY IS FOUND IN THE SIMPLE MOMENTS.
